We all have a secret proxy url at our office just to check yahoo mails or may be a bit of orkuting during those boring hours. But the villain, our very own network proxy say no!no! to these cute sites and is always on a hunt to black list our proxy url’s. So we keep finding (may be even creating) new CGI proxies.But the good news is that we have some one for our rescue and its none other that our good old friend Google! The trick is that Google translator service can be used as proxy. Take for example:-
With the above URL you are asking for an English-English translation of yahoo.com by setting both ‘langpair’ as ‘en’ . Now your connection is directed to a google.com page so this page won’t be blocked, no matter what’s the content you are translating. In effect you fake to the network proxy that you are connecting to a Google site which gets you to your favorite sites. So next time onwards don’t waste your time hunting for proxies just give a try with your google.
PS: This won’t work if http://www.google.com/translate is blocked.
